We are replacing our furnace, when is the best time to have a cleaning?
It is always better to clean the ducts before the new furnace is turned on. Since the new furnace may have a more forceful fan than your old furnace, it could blast the dirt out of your vents and into your home.
How often should we have our ducts cleaned?
The North American Duct Cleaners Association recommends having your ducts cleaned every 3-4 years.
Is there any preparation that is required?
We can clean every vent or register we find. If you have a sofa or other large piece of furniture hiding a vent, it will need to be moved. We also understand that the kid's hockey equipment fits nicely beside the furnace, but we do need a little elbow room to work.
How long does a cleaning take?
The average home takes about 2- 2 1/2 hours.
